Pocono's exclusive Tri-Bond mesh adhering system

Pocono Mt. Screen Supply has developed an exclusive Tri-Bond mesh adhering system that is virtually indestructable. By using this process, which takes extra steps in the frame's preparation, Pocono Screen can guarantee that the mesh adhesion to the frame will never fail. The exclusive Tri-Bond system uses a specially designed grinding machine and chemical bath to assure a completely uncontaminated surface for applying an adhesive base coat. The frame is then stretched as described below using our staged tensioning procedure and adhered with a final top coat of adhesive. This process is used by no other screen manufacturer and we know of no other screen manufacturer who guarantees their mesh performance!

Tensioning

Screen Tension is the most crucial element that determines how much control you will have over the printing process. Insufficient tension can cause poor coverage by forcing the ink into the garment instead of laying on top. Printing with high tension will result in better registration, faster printing speeds, less ink build up, and reduce operator fatigue.

Rapid Tensioning vs. Stage Tensioning

Rapid Tensioning is the most common method used to achieve a stretched screen printing frame. Rapid Tensioning results in the fabric beginning to stabilize immediately, and level off below the recommended tension level. Thus resulting in tension loss and improper tension levels. This technique is used by most screen makers. Stage Tensioning, however, is very time consuming because of the series of stretch and relaxation, which allows the fabric to stabilize without damaging the mesh characteristics. This process allows us to achieve higher tension levels with the use of low elongation fabrics.

Our studies have concluded that the Stage Tensioning procedure will produce higher tension levels with less tension loss.

Pocono Screen Is Proven "Best Tensioned Wood Frame"

Pocono Screen was proven "Best Tensioned Wood Frame" by The Press Magazine (August 2000). Using the staged procedure, Pocono Screen can sustain high tension levels far exceeding the competition. The use of our newly installed Harlacher H28-S4 system and Saati mesh provide constant and uniform tensions unsurpassed by any other stretching method today.

Pocono Screen voted Best Tensioned Wood Frame by The Press Magazine!

Harlacher H28 Stretching System

Using our newly installed Harlacher H28-S4 Stretching System which features a 4-way stretching system, and the use of Saati Hitech Mesh, we can assure the customer elevated tensioning along with consistant results. We have the facilities to build and stretch up to 8'x16'. The Harlacher H28-S4 is the world's premier screen stretcher manufactured in Switzerland and used worldwide to produce top quality precision screens.
